Licorice is a nourishing tea tonic.

Licorice root has a long history of use, going back to ancient African, Assyrian, Egyptian, Chinese, and Indian cultures. Today, licorice root is promoted as a wellness herb. The whole sticks and slices may be enjoyed as teas, chewed straight and are pleasant tasting.

Brewing - For the Licorice Tea

Heat 1 cup of water in a kettle or saucepan over low heat, and bring to a boil. Add 1 tbsp. of the licorice root tea to the boiling water and let the tea simmer on very low heat for about 15-30 minutes. Strain and pour tea into a cup and serve immediately hot or serve on ice.
