Rooibos Teas

Rooibos tea, also known as "red bush" tea, is a caffeine-free herbal infusion native to South Africa. It is made from the leaves of the Aspalathus linearis plant, which grows exclusively in the Cederberg region of the Western Cape. The history of Rooibos dates back to ancient times, when the indigenous Khoisan people harvested the wild plant for its medicinal properties. They would chop the leaves and stems with axes and then leave them to ferment and dry in the sun, a method that remains largely unchanged today.
